For those who dont understand.

This guy did a good job of explaining the WBC and the need for people like the Patriot Guard Riders.

Follow up on Spc Jordan Morris (Stillwater OK.)

The funeral was a showcase of respect.  As it turned out nobody from WBC or any negative people showed up for the funeral.  It was probably a good thing they didnt because about 200+ Bikers and a huge number of Stillwater locals did and I dont think WBC would have found a place to picket in Peace.  First off, the Patriot Guard Riders showed up to escort Spc. Morris and his family from the Stillwater Airport, to the funeral home in town.  I wasnt there for that but I was told there were about 200 PGR there.

The Funeral was at the Stillwater High School Fine Arts Building where the PGR and many other supporters showed up in large numbers.  A respect line was made up of all these people with Old glory flying about every ten feet.  the family passed between the lines and Vets Saluted and non Vets Held their hand over their heart.  After the funeral, everyone escorted the family from the HS to the Cemetery about 5 miles (the route taken)  It seemed the whole town of Stillwater showed their support.  People lined the streets from the HS all the way to the cemetery.

I was completely in awe at the show of support and respect for this Soldier and his family.  I was proud of our fallen local hero and the people of my town that supported him.

The U.S. Department of Defense announced Sunday that Spc. Jordan Morris of tthe Stillwater area was one of five soldiers who died Thursday of injuries they suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle in Kandahar province.

The 23-year-old Morris, a Ripley High School graduate, was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division in Fort Drum, N.Y.

Morris is the son of Brett and Nita Morris. He will be remembered by many for his active role in Payne County 4-H for many years.

Morris, a 2010 graduate of West Point, is the third Oklahoman to die in combat in Afghanistan this month and the fifth in recent weeks.

Oklahoma lawmakers propose bills to inconvenience Westboro Baptist Church protesters

BY ANN KELLEY akelley@opubco.com

Published: March 3, 2011

Jimmy McCluskey said Westboro Baptist Church protesters are exercising the rights his son and thousands of others gave their lives for.

He said he thinks members of Baptist fundamentalist church from Topeka, Kan., are hypocrites.

“I’m more than a bit perturbed,” McCluskey said. “My son was being buried for defending the freedoms we all enjoy, and they’re hanging outside his place of burial like mosquitoes waiting to sting.”

McCluskey said he wished the U.S. Supreme Court could have taken that into consideration.

The court ruled 8-1 Wednesday that the First Amendment protects church members’ anti-gay protests at funerals. The group is known for radical messages, including blaming soldiers’ deaths on homosexuality.

State Sen. Josh Brecheen, R-Coalgate, said he doesn’t think the ruling will affect a bill he’s proposing to double a time moratorium and the distance such protests can be held in Oklahoma. He said he plans to ask state Attorney General Scott Pruitt for his opinion of the ruling’s impact for Oklahoma.

“I believe the AG’s opinion will show this law does not interfere with free speech, but will give even greater protection to grieving families,” he said.

McCluskey, 50, is the father of Army Sgt. Jason James McCluskey, 20, who was killed in Afghanistan in November. The funeral was held in the soldier’s hometown of McAlester and was attended by more than 1,000 people. Many, including several motorcycle clubs, came in opposition to the Westboro protesters, McCluskey said.

Brecheen said McCluskey’s funeral led him to sponsoring SB 406 aimed at keeping protesters at least 1,000 feet from a funeral, and prohibiting them from protesting two hours before and after the service. The measure was unanimously approved Tuesday by the Senate and sent to the House.

Current law prohibits protests within 500 feet and an hour before and after a funeral.

“I want to do whatever it takes to create a hindrance for funeral protesters while staying within the boundaries of the Constitution,” Brecheen said.

State Rep. Dustin Roberts, R-Durant, proposed a measure that would make it illegal to picket within 1,000 feet of a funeral, imposing a fine up to $500 and 30 days in jail.

The lawsuit before the Supreme Court was filed by the father of a fallen soldier against members of the church. The father initially was awarded $11 million for emotional distress. The judgment was cut to $5 million before a federal appeals court threw it out, saying church members couldn’t be sued for exercising free speech rights.

In recent years, Westboro protesters have picketed funerals and other high-profile events in Oklahoma.

The group has organized protests twice in Midwest City. Police Chief Brandon Clabes said the protesters are well-schooled on the law, but their presence tends to excite others.

In 2008, about 15 women and children from Westboro protested outside the Air Force base after a homicide. About 200 people countered their protest, and one veteran was taken into police custody for trying to approach a protester shoving a flag down her pants, Clabes said.

“They have a vile message we have to listen to, but we understand they have a constitutional right.”

Westboro protesters returned to McAlester in December as retribution for their van’s tires being slashed a month before. Since the tire slashing, Westboro has come out with slogans such as “God Hates Oklahoma” and “Thank God for Dead Oklahoma Children.”

Police Chief Darrell Miller said he has officers protect the van during their demonstrations and escort them out of town promptly after.

Mississippi town figures out simple, effective way to stop Westboro Baptist Church Protest

April 23, 2011 ·

Brandon, Mississippi will go down in history as the town where the Westboro Baptist Church met its match.

The lunatics showed up to protest at the funeral of local hero Staff Sgt Jason Rogers who was killed in Afghanistan, but left town without making a peep. They may have made a few moans and groans, but no peeps.

westboro-demonstratorWestboro Baptist is really more of an asylum than a church

The Hayride has the righteous report:

A couple of days before, one of them (Westboro protestors) ran his mouth at a Brandon gas station and got his arse waxed. Police were called and the beaten man could not give much of a description of who beat him. When they canvassed the station and spoke to the large crowd that had gathered around, no one seemed to remember anything about what had happened.

Rankin County handled this thing perfectly. There were many things that were put into place that most will never know about and at great expense to the county.

Most of the morons never made it out of their hotel parking lot. It seems that certain Rankin county pickup trucks were parked directly behind any car that had Kansas plates in the hotel parking lot and the drivers mysteriously disappeared until after the funeral was over. Police were called but their wrecker service was running behind and it was going to be a few hours before they could tow the trucks so the Kansas plated cars could get out.

A few made it to the funeral but were ushered away to be questioned about a crime they might have possibly been involved in. Turns out, after a few hours of questioning, that they were not involved and they were allowed to go on about their business.

No lawyers. No judges. No counter protests. Just a good old fashioned ass kicking.

That’s exactly what the Westboro lunatics have been asking for, so it’s only fair that the good folks in Rankin County gave it to them.

Next time, put it on pay per view and make a fortune for the widows and children of the military heroes. We know we’d pay to see it.

Update: We thought we should include the video that accompanied the original story. It’s the view from a trooper’s dash cam recording the escort of Marine Staff Sgt Jason Rogers as hundreds or even thousands of onlookers gathered alongside the roadway to pay their respects.

Reason for this site…

Idiots with signs!

Idiots with signs!

I see the Westboro Baptist Church picketing soldiers who have died in the line of duty and they make me sick.  How on earth could think its the right thing to do by being obnoxious and hateful at a funeral?  Family and friends are grieving the loss of their loved one and here you are being a jackass right there at the funeral.

Its one thing to have views against people places or things but you folks have lost your mind.  do you not see how ignorant and crazy you look?  You are seething with hatred.  Is that what your god teaches?.

I dont know if this site will ever get any attention but I hope if it does people use this venue to unite and stand against your derangement.  Have some respect for other people and maybe you would not be seen as such Idiots.(maybe)

I invite everyone that agrees with me and the other 99.99% of people that live in this great country to join in and help stand against these people.  Form your own groups to meet fire with fire,  I will do what I can to facilitate communications from this website.  I just need to see other people joining me in this mission to put these people out of business.

God Bless this Country and the people that keep it free.
